RETAINING SYSTEMS adding a new dimension to your garden
Retaining systems are used in
order to create functional and usable areas on awkward sloping sites or alternatively
to create different levels and added interest to otherwise featureless and
level sites.
Up & Coming Gardens philosophy is to create harmony between the hard and the soft landscaping in a garden by using natural organic materials when constructing retaining systems - railway sleepers, gabion baskets, or treated poles.
Where
a major retaining system has to be constructed we would employ the services
of an engineer to oversee the design and construction thereof. In these instances
interlocking retaining blocks or shuttered reinforced concrete may be required.
